Deschamps' list

They will finally be 25 to make the trip to Qatar! Didier Deschamps announced this Wednesday his list of players who will participate in the next World Cup which starts in ten days. Mike Maignan is absent from the goalkeepers' side because of his calf injury and is replaced by Steve Mandanda. The latter will be accompanied by the captain, Hugo Lloris, and Alphonse Aréola.

In the position of defender, there will be only one fullback with Theo Hernandez. No Ferland Mendy, Lucas Digne or Jonathan Clauss. Raphael Varane and Presnel Kimpembe, uncertain, are present. The other defenders are Ibrahima Konaté, William Saliba, Dayot Upamecano, Lucas Hernandez, Jules Koundé and Benjamin Pavard.

In midfield, Aurélien Tchouaméni and Adrien Rabiot are in the mix, as is Youssouf Fofana, selected for the first time last September. Real Madrid's Eduardo Camavinga and Marseille's Mattéo Guendouzi and Jordan Veretout round out the midfield.

In attack, no surprises with the presence of Karim Benzema, Kylian Mbappé, Antoine Griezmann, Ousmane Dembélé, Kingsley Coman, Olivier Giroud and Christopher Nkunku.
