PSG outclass Yzeure and win the French Cup

The Parisians faced the Yzeuriennes in the final of the French Cup. To reach this stage of the competition, Didier Ollé-Nicolle's players eliminated Dijon on penalties (0-0, 5-4), Olympique Lyonnais in the 8th final (3-0), Montpellier in the quarter (1-3) and Fleury in the semi-final (2-4). This was the seventh final in the history of the club from the capital. Only Olympique Lyonnais (16) and Montpellier (9) have played more Coupe de France finals than Paris Saint-Germain.

For their part, Yzeure, who are in the French D2 and will be facing the reigning French champions, have had a superb run of form, eliminating Thonon Evian (2-2, 5-3), Toulouse (1-1, 5-4), Lille (1-1, 5-4), Rodez (0-1) and Nantes (2-1) in the previous round.

Logic was respected and there was no real final as PSG were superior. The Parisians led 5-0 after 14 minutes and then scored three more times. Katoto three times, Lawrence and Däbritz twice and Dudek were the scorers for Paris. With her hat-trick, striker Marie-Antoinette Katoto now has 32 goals in all competitions this season. Yzeure tried to take more risks in the second half, but the step was too high.

PSG thus won their third French Cup after their successes in 2010 and 2018.
